U2-UFO Video build

There is only one stockist in the UK afaik. Don't ask where tho m8, forum rules. Theres a big thread on these somehwere in this section which has more info if you are considering getting one.

Cheers guys. It was more of an experiment than anything just getting used to vegas so I thought I'd put together a small show with the photos I had, hence the lack of actual 'video' footage. A few have commented on the speed of the text slides - I must be a quick reader lol so I will bear that in mind next time I do one. The quality suffered greatly do to compressing a 1.5gig avi file into 65mb divx, blame Utube for that one lol.

Constructive criticism is most welcome as I aint a pro and need all the help I can get with stuff like this as I can't even take a decent photo lol but taking cheapshots to big up ones own ego is pretty lame tbh.

The second track is by Organic Audio - 'Nurega'

LOL - sorry webbo, but that reminded me of a fishtank ... or a nightclub for goldfish :D:D

Not my cup o tea... very garish and teen looking.

LOL - np m8 everone has an opinion and I appreciate it aint everyones cup of tea. Some like boring beige boxes or the same old lian Li's, nothing wrong with that either but I prefer something a little different;)

Thx for your kind comments.

To those who have mailed me from here (saves answering the same Q's over and over again ;):

Did you have to import any parts?

No, all of the kit was purchased from within the UK.

Where did you get those fans. Nice mod with the blue L.E.D's. They're Schweet :)

The fans are D12SL Yate loon fans. You can buy them with the leds already in, so no I didn't mod the fans.

What coolant did you use for the blue and green?

The green dye I used is Feser green UV. The blue is PT-Nuke and a little alphacool clear blue UV iirc.

OMG! Fantastic build but how noisy is it with all those fans?

No its not noisy, far from it. Its probably the quietest pc I've ever had! All the fans are either on a controller or are modded to 7v. They are also very quiet at 12v so when they are running at 7v they are nearly inaudible.

Hope this helps.

Jeez I thought this thread died a while back. I've made a few changes recently so I guess I should update with a few pics. I'll try and get some done later. Thx for comments.

Well its changed a bit since then.

Ram is watercooled (9200 Flex) and motherboard is an Asus blitz with a Q6600 (both watercooled).

Loop 1 CPU + NB
Loop 2 GPU + Memory

I went from a P180 to the UFO so yeah, they are totally different:D

I've just started my new build now which again is based around the UFO but will be a little less 'bright' this time around.
