It’s not really luck, it’s being positive and believing that you can make the pass. It’s all very timid. It’s static. Static man passes to static man. It’s never rolling your man or driving at them.

It’s so easy to defend against.

Yes very timid. When confidence is low this is what happens.

Regardless, the ref needs to card some players for continuing to complain after he’s sent them away.

I’m always a bit torn about the “was the defender moving” when he comes in like that. You can still commit a foul by placing yourself where a moving player can’t avoid you.

You’re probably right. I just don’t like how soft modern football has become.
