No RvP or Theo, Fabregas an uncertainty and Wilshire now I read? :o Potentially huge misses for Arsenal.

No C.Ronaldo for Madrid either against Lyon

Bales injury is meant to be quite serious and is Van der Vaart still out?

Could be a strange mix of results

Much as I'd like to see arsenal beat barca I just can't see them getting a result with their injury list...

RM are playing next week arent they?

Arsenal have a slim chance if their injuries arent as bad as reported, but if Fab misses the game or isnt his usual self due to the injury - it will be night on impossible.

Doesnt look good for Spurs either, but at least its a home tie with an away goal in thier favour. More depends on how patched up their defence is imo

Ohjesusohgodohjesusohgod.

Don't make this thread now. How am I supposed to concentrate on anything for the next 75 hours?

I'll be a gibbering wreck by Tuesday.

and Barca just rested a few of their starting 11 players(Iniesta, Villa, Busquets, Abidal) for the Arsenal game. :(

All Arsenal need is an early away goal. Can't see Barca scoring 3 goals.

However, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is aware of the potency of the tournament favourites and believes that a solid defensive display will be key if his side are to advance to the quarter-finals.

"It will be very important for us to defend well because when you go to the most effective attacking team in the world, you want to have your best defenders available," he told the Arsenal website.
Oh Arsene, still cracking out the comedy gold. "Defend well". Genius.

Hilarious stuff there lol...Barca could easily score 3+ goals against us thats not the problem...the problem is how well can or will Arsenal defend against a Barca attack??...i dont think we will hold them for long.

As much as id love an Arsenal win i just cant see it...so im going for a 4-1 Barca thrashing with Messi getting all 4 goals:p...hopefully fingers crossed it wont happen:p....but i think its pretty inevitable that we will get beat at Barca...

No Song, RVP or Walcott but Fabregas looks certain to play and Wilshere should be ok i think from what i read this morning in the paper.

Sounds like most of Spurs' absentees will be fit for Wednesday night.

I'm expecting:
Gomes
Hutton (:() Dawson Gallas BAE
Lennon Palacios Modric Bale
VDV
Crouch

Strong side. Should cause AC Milan a lot of problems down the flanks.

THe simple question for Arsenal is, can we keep within one goal of Barca, Barca could score anything from 1 to 5-6 goals, if we end up chasing the game we could get caught out hard while trying to get back in the tie. THing is, we can score, but not if we play a team like we did against Sunderland, Nasri is so ineffective this year in central midfield. I don't think it would be that hard to score a couple goals at Barca, especially if they end up pressing for a goal and leaving more and more space.

Meh, when we really hurt Barca in the home leg was effectively 4-4-2 with most of our best players on the pitch, that should be what we're focusing on.

In reality I see us losing and I won't be surprised when Sagna/Djourou/Koscielny are responsible for making massive mistakes.

The really perfect build up to this game is basically playing a different team and several players in different positions every game for the last couple weeks.

I dunno, anything can happen and Barca haven't looked really good since the international break.

For Spurs, depends which Milan turns up, frankly the Italian league is a bit of a joke, beyond Inter having the best tactician in the game today and playing absurd anti football, they weren't actually particularly good. Spurs should go through to face a more difficult team quite easily I would think.

Not sure we'll see VDV from the start, or Palacios in favour of Sandro.

After the first game I was very optimistic of our chances of going through, but with no RvP, Theo, Song and a dodgy Fabregas that optimism has plummeted :(
The results over the last couple of weeks have shown that.

There is still hope though!

Guys

Guess who trained with the squad today
