UEFA Euro 2012 - The Final - ** spoilers **

I want to see Italy win it as well. Fed up of seeing the Spanish dominate football with their Tiki-taka play style. At first it was pleasurable to watch , but now it's got pretty dull.

Italy win please. Expected another boring side that just sat back and defended but they've arguably been the surprise of the tournament and made Germany look like a second rate International team.

Italy just got lucky against Germany look how poor Italy were against England they should have thrashed them. It would be nice if you would try not bringing race into it where it's not important.

Italy did not get "lucky" against Germany. 2-1 flatters Germany. Italy dominated England to the point where every English player should re-evaluated their chosen career. England should have lost that game by several goals. Same goes for Germany.

Spain would be so much more entertaining with this set up IMO.

Pedro - Torres- Jesus
Xavi - Alonso - Iniesta

Spain having to field 6 players that just hold the ball, shows how scared they are of losing it and conceding. They used to play possesion football in aid of scoring, now they just do it so they don't concede goals.

I am hoping for an Italy win but I am not looking forward to the consequences. I am on holiday in Rome at the moment and we have rented an apartment overlooking Piazza del Risorgimento, - the Piazza is like a giant roundabout with trams lines crossing it and is busy with traffic going around it 24/7. On Thursday night when Italy beat Germany, we didn't get any sleep till 3am with all the cars and scooters flying around the piazza with flags flying and horns blaring out!! God knows what is going to happen tonight if the Italians win. I know one thing the Pope won't be sleeping well tonight as his apartments are near the piazza as well!!

Needless to say, Italy to win, as I support Italy ;)

Personally (might be because I have a bias) I think that its pretty possible for Italy to win.

Italy started the adventure not in the best of ways. Police invading the training camp to take Criscito home, they had 1 friendly cancelled because of the earthquake, Barzagli injury, calcioscomesse scandal, and to top it all off, a 3-0 loss to Russia.

They played the first game against Spain, and we all saw how it was an even game. yet it seems like Italy stepped their game up. The ~60% possession against England and 30+ shots says something. Not only that, but they played great against Germany, with top quality defensive work. The only time they really messed up is when Balzaretti handed the ball. Even then, the game was pretty much over. You have to consider also that Germany had 2 days more to rest and Italy played extra time + penalties.

On the contrary, I think Spain's form has dipped. I saw them against Portugal and they showed that they were somewhat tired. They seemed to give way too much space to Ronaldo and co. Ronaldo could have 'easily' scored. I feel that if Balotelli is on form again today, he can punish the Spanish.

Needless to say, Spain start slightly favourites, but for me its an even game. Italy lack the experience of big games (many players, even the Juve boys, have not had a lot of Champions League experience), whilst Spain lack 'the form.'

Its gonna be good

I've got 6 Spanish players in my ff, so if they get a hat trick each but Italy win I'll be happy

So they're going to strangle the life out of the game again? Hope Italy smash the so called best team in the world, might make them rethink their pathetic tactics for future tournaments.

Who is everyone's fantasy captain for tonight? I'm going with Iniesta. I think Italy are going to go back to be woeful in front of goal so things will remain tight.
