Southgate is an insipid manager. Hes unlikely to change his whole MO.

You only have to look at Germany to see what a well coached team looks like. Germany were terrible in the last world cup and the previous Euro's. Their squad is quite similar to those two and full of aging players yet they have been fantastic. A bit like Italy were in 2021 with Mancini at the helm.

This England team is one of the best if not the best in the tournament. Southgate is just ruining them. He was great at restabilising the England team after Euro 2016 as it was a dire time but he has overstayed his welcome and we need a real tactical manager to take it to the next step.

Germany look really dynamic in the final third because all their players are mobile and looking to make runs. Players run with the ball and other players are making runs for them.
