Dana is out of his mind paying Tito Ortiz ($250,000), a fighter way past his best and somebody no one wants to see fight unless it's Liddell giving him an ass whooping. James Toni got $500,000 against Couture a few months back, that is a complete farce. The pay has always been a mystery in the UFC.

It's not a mystery as such is it, it's the draw these names have.
Ortiz is a name many people know, same for Toney except he brings a load of boxing fans who want to see mma shown as a weaker sport. It's all ppv buys at the end of the day

Have to remember that when Tito re-signed with the UFC that Strikeforce had come sniffing.
Dana purely went into defense mode if you ask me, got out the big money to stop him going elsewhere.

Have the PPV numbers been released for 121? They were saying they could expect up to 1.5 million on it prior to the event which was about 3 times the current UFC highest PPV

Amazing salaries as usual, imagine that guys brock steps in and after 3 minutes hes ready to head back to the changing rooms. If only everyone had that once in there life time and be setup for well a life time 
Brock being suspended for 6 months... somehow I doubt that he needs to go back to dominating fashion by early 2011 and has to have at least 2-3 fights in 2011 if he wants another title shot he has to perhaps do more to proove his worth also if he takes out Mir and Carwin or JDS then hes a top contender and ready for another shot imo.
I see now why Dana is considering sacking Tito, that was more then likely a retirement paycheck.... its like with Chuck getting something silly like 500k also, but imo UFC should let Tito vs Liddel happen as the main event, it will pay for themselves even if they only get 300-400k

Yeah I read Gonzagas cut... he said on his twitter back to normal life like a normal person now.
Danas gonna be busy with the new WEC/UFC merger for 2011 but its nice too see it merging finaly, should make for some great matchups.
