UFC 124: St-Pierre Vs Koscheck 2

I wish ESPN would PPV for things like this... I don't watch the Sports channels as I only really watch UFC if its on so cant justify the monthly cost for it. I would happily pay a fiver or so for this...

Can't wait for the fights, I'll be watching them live as per usual, so I'll come on here for some live debate if I remember.

We should get on mirc or something so we can chat as the fights are happening. I like live fight banter, always good.

I think Kos can do it. The ability to knock GSP out is definitely in him for me. However I'll still be very surprised if he pulls it off.

GSP has more ways to win than his opponent and therefore, I'd put it as a submission in the later rounds for the champion.

Shall be worth watching without question.

Did you see how he was treating/speaking to a paramedic (Brad Tate) on TUF season 12?:rolleyes:

You mean the man-nurse ?

Tuf is just a series and u guys gotta remember while Kosh is a 'playing the bad guy role' hes mentioned it many times every sport needs the bad guy and hes it and he loves it.

Not everything is clear cut, he plays his bad boy bully image very well but deep down hes a humble fighter.

This may clear up some stuff from the tuf series....

Espn is only around £10 a month and there's often two UFC events each month which equals your £5 right there. Unless you mean you'd pay £5 just for this event. If / when UFC decide to PPV in the UK expect the events to cost much more than a fiver. Americans pay $45 per show I think!

No I ment the paramedic! Koscheck will always be a bully and all that link showed was that Koscheck can give it but cant take it.

Am i missing something here all this talk about Sean McCorkle? He is a nobody who has fought nobody.

All those saying he is always entertaining etc have you ever seen him before?
He has fought once for the ufc before, at the bottom of the under card. And all his other fights are in near enough unheard of organisation, bar one fight in king of the cage. So the odds of you seeing him before are slim to none.

This is clearly being built up for a Brock lenser return match, as there is no way it should be a co main event.

But doesnt it show the other side of koshcheck ?

Every sport has its villian and even I think I heard GSP once say Koshchecks it :D

If they had left the video in the tuf series the tension and bullying 'Koshcheck' wouldnt be that bad as made out.

People forget hes only playing the villian/bully/Jerk hes not like that in real life and that video summed it up I reckon, either way makes for an interesting fight I just hope it ends in a knock out :)

Georges St-Pierre (c) vs. Josh Koscheck
Stefan Struve vs. Sean McCorkle
Jim Miller vs. Charles Oliveira
Joe Stevenson vs. Mac Danzig
Thiago Alves vs. John Howard

Same as billysielu, but with the power John Howard has the Alves Howard fight could go either way.

GSP will do as he does in every fight lately, get it to the ground, where he will grind out a points win. It's a pity he doesn't like standing up much anymore, as he was far more exciting.

Struve, Miller, Stevenson and Alves for me, with Alves v Howard fight of the night, although all the bouts have the potential to be contenders for that bonus.

Kos to win, he has a lot to prove and i hope he shakes things up a bit.

Same here hope Kos wins but hes got a punchers chance really, Kos has been saying he wants too see his stand up game claiming he has none lol

But I predict GSP will automaticly go back to his amazing take down roots and ground and pound/submission.

Will be interesting too see how kos deals with it my bets is he wont be able to since no one else can, his mixing it up style followed by a take down just doesnt seem to be stoppable unless someone hits his jaw or face during a standup exchange....

Time to head downstairs and start watching MMA Live and the countdown, fast forwarding all the crap. Oh and also have the ritualistic can of Monster and a garlic baguette to watch with.
