UK Customs advice

Hello everyone.

I'm in the US on bussiness and thought I'd so some shopping whilst I'm here.

I just bought a couple of 14cm Yates, a new Scythe 500rpm Slip-stream fan and an IFX-14 heatsink. Oh and an Antec Phantom 500w. The total value is under $200.

Do I need to declare the stuff to customs when I come back? I'll pack the receipt for safety but does anyone know what the policy is on bringing stuff in under the £150 allowence?

Not for that small amount you shouldn't have to...It's personal use so its not like u are bringing back several to sell...you should be ok

Why have you quoted yourself?

Wear the items and they're less likely to check*

*this may not be true...

if its below the allowance (total of all items except booze, cigs etc ) then there is no need to declare

Thanks for your quick and helpful replies all. I'm not sure what I'd look like wearing a heatsink, power supply and several case fans but I can give it a go...

You would look *different* or at worse, if they seen the wires coming out from your pockets, possibly a terrorist lol...
