Yes I agree having a good RAID card and 3 C300 64gb would give you a faster read speed. I am not bothered about a slow write speed as its an OS drive.

Don't forget that your OS drive contains your swap file (unless you've moved it somewhere else). Although not large file sizes, Windows does a lot a writing to the OS drive.
