A few months ago, you couldn't upgrade your UKOnline package without buying an ADSL2+ compatible router. So I didn't bother.
But I logged into my account the other day and found I could easily regrade my package (and monthly costs obviously), and buying the new router is entirely optional. So I've changed from the 8mb (£19.99 pm) to 16mb (£24.99 pm).
I don't know how recently they changed this, but I thought it might be worth a heads up anyway for UKOnline customers.
I think you can downgrade to a cheaper package too.
