Well the ones showing crowds gathering outside the building to pelt it with molotov are quite damning:

Which was mentioned in the BBC article you dismissed. What about the eye-witness reports of molotov cocktails being thrown from the building onto protestors below?

The women are making them so the men are free to stop anyone escaping the building.

Pure speculation on your part.

Looks like the Kremlin owned journalists are getting their reward, with Putin honouring 300 journalists for their "objective" coverage of the Crimea annexation.

Meanwhile, I know Zethor mentioned it, but rather surprised that ubersonic, areksexylady and nerusy haven't commented on the Putin regime accidentally telling the truth for the first time, releasing the real results of the Crimean referendum. Especially Nerusy, he's been monitoring the situation thoroughly and tells us all what's really going on.

Stop reading Russia Today

I don't believe that biased crap, same with the BBC too, I prefer more balanced sources, only by taking everything in can you really build up a proper picture.

Nope, it's what they said when asked.

What needs to happen is quite simple - elections.

The irony is it was the pro-EU lot who screwed that up when they effected a coup against Yankovich after he had agreed to stand down and allow election, had that transpired all would be fine however now you have a country falling into chaos and whatever the election decided half the country will consider it rigged and that could lead to more chaos.

In all honesty Scorza I thought you were above bringing nonsense like that into the discussion, when I linked that ridiculously biased pro-Russian article a couple of dozen of posts back I was genuinely ridiculing it.

'VICE News reporter Simon Ostrovsky tells the full story of his abduction and captivity in eastern Ukraine by pro-Russia forces. '
'Just an hour before he was kidnapped by pro-Russia forces, VICE News correspondent Simon Ostrovsky interviewed two Russian Cossacks in Kramatorsk. One of the men showed Simon his Russian passport, which was the first confirmation VICE News has seen of Russians working with the separatists in Eastern Ukraine.

Old news is old, your also forgetting to mention how the Russia Cossack explains his presence there is nothing to do with Russia and he is simply supporting his fellow Cossacks against the pro-EU lot.

Of course he would say that, its evidence of them being well armed & equiped, where is all this co-ordination and money coming from?

Well if I must, first of all that Forbes "article" is an *opinion* piece and when it says that the poll that are citing was retracted is in fact false, the poll has been up since 21 of April and was never taken down. I read it before Forbes and checked it right after Forbes put this nonsense up, it was never taken down.

Second is the way Forbes presented information, the actually poll conclusions are:

Sevastopol Turnout 50-80%

Crimea as whole, 30-50% turnout

Of those 50-60% voted to join.

Forbes does not mention the wide margin of error because it undermines the findings and why does it undermine the findings? Because the numbers come from *opinion poll* ie that's what human rights activists of Russia gathered from their *opinion* poll.

So we have Forbes opinion piece that conceals margin of error based on an opinion poll conducted on a small sample that statistically is no where near to fit the population statistic.

The reason why I decided not to embarrass Zethor yet again is because that Forbes propagandist article does not change reality, Crimean referendum was not legal and as OSCE observers refused to come we will never know the actual voting numbers nor whether it was done in a democratic way.

To be fair, it's not Forbes that have made this story up, it's not an official story it's just a piece one of their bloggers has done.

For anyone interested in checking for themselves the original material the Forbes blogger tries to misrepresent as something it isn't, it is here: http://www.president-sovet.ru/struc...olitike/materialy/problemy_zhiteley_kryma.php

What needs to happen is quite simple - elections. Any government that results from elections will have the authority to impose the rule of the law and there will be no valid arguments against it (hint: this is why Russia doesn't want elections now).

Elections will only result in either a pro-western stooge government backed by the US or a pro-Russian stooge government backed by Russia, whoever wins the other side won't be happy. Democracy can't work for the benefit of the people when you have outside forces working behind the scenes for their own selfish interests.

Hmmm maybe they are Russian afterall.

In Luhansk tensions have increased due to the address of the self-proclaimed mayor who introduced a “state of emergency” on 2 May within the city. In addition to announcing a curfew, he called for volunteers to join the “South-Eastern Army” and outlawed all political movements, civil society activists and law enforcement employees failing to follow his instructions.

Did you even watch that video??? There is literally whole groups of Ukranian armies joining the "Terrorists" in Slovianks.

In other news, Ukrainian parliament has removed the communist party from the building, since they were "Separatist".... Hmmm, there was this one guy who also removed communist party and all others too, i think he ended up shooting himself in the bunker??

At my suggestion of Parliament voted to remove from the floor of the Communist faction. The historic event. I hope that very soon we will ban this treacherous party

Apparently the are reports coming in from Interfax that refugees are now arriving in Crimea as a result of the massacre in Odessa, this could be a sign that some separatists are giving up, or just those who don't want to fight.
