Russia trying to land people on the moon is hilarious. It's exactly the sort of big spending small-willy-compensation project that will make Russia's problems worse. Their failing industrial base, high and dry with sanctions, will now be forced to channel billions into a project that does little or nothing to benefit the country.

I don‘t think you can call it a ‘lunar landing programme’ just because the turrets of your exploded tanks happen to land up there, Vladimir….

Yeah no chance they all survived, especially as there was apparently a storm going on at the time. I would never celebrate deaths but Ukraine having the ability to do this is a good thing.

I believe they are claiming that the evacuation occurred when the ship caught fire before the ammunition exploded. I mean, I assume even Russia trains and equips the crew of their ships to evacuate in the case of such a fire (*cough* missile attack *cough*) so it doesn't seem particularly implausible that they got off to me. If, on the other hand, the Ukrainian strike triggered an immediate explosion then, of course, they'd be doomed.
