Oh well, unlucky ehh510 crew members, and so far I can only see unverified reports that Turkey rescued 60 of them.
That's potentially a huge loss of personnel in one go.
If they had the ability, I think they would have done this before they retreated from Kyiv in the first place.
Did he? The reports I read implied otherwise, but - either way - it's a big spending project Russia can ill afford.
I watched the video you posted, didn't you?
They do have the ability, they have ballistic missiles, they could launch them at the main government buildings in the centre.
And they think that's where the command and control apparatus is located right now?
This threat sounds like standard "YOU'RE LUCKY HE'S HOLDING ME BACK!" bluster.

Guess we will get confirmation before long if it's sunk or not.
US P8-A is a large maratime patrol aircraft. it will likely be doing a sweep of the area to try and get intelligence on the state of the striken ship. A ship of that size nature would be easily seen by it, so should be easy to tell if sunk or not. doubtfull it will be able get close enough to tell what damage is done, but at least the can tell if its floating or not.who's that

That wont be the only reason its there, will just be doing the usual patrol route, gathering intelligence on russian naval movements. Not sure if the P8-A is sigint capable or not? But may be in the area doing that sort of thing as well.
That's vague and not particularly relevant, it's where Zelensky has been making broadcasts from etc.. it would be a big symbolic hit, they're not trying to take Kyiv right now so it would be mostly something done out of spite.
Not really. They've got ballistic missiles, if they want to hit government buildings in Kyiv they likely can.
I believe they are claiming that the evacuation occurred when the ship caught fire before the ammunition exploded. I mean, I assume even Russia trains and equips the crew of their ships to evacuate in the case of such a fire (*cough* missile attack *cough*) so it doesn't seem particularly implausible that they got off to me. If, on the other hand, the Ukrainian strike triggered an immediate explosion then, of course, they'd be doomed.
Why didn't they fire another missile once the ship was in trouble?
Just to finish it off like?
