I might be wrong but the damage doesn't seem right for something which had spread from an ammunition store fire - looks like something hit the strongest part of the energy signature of the vessel... consistent with the kind of targetting of missiles which operate like the Kh-35/Neptune. Doesn't look like the Osas fired though hard to be sure, but possible launches from the S-300 complex - I wouldn't be surprised if they'd tried to target a Ukrainian drone and got hit by their own missile(s) though...

EDIT: Seeing some people sharing this image claiming a NATO submarine torpedoed the Moskva:

(That isn't the Moskva)

EDIT2: Others saying the same thing - other than a limited amount of ammo storage for CIWS, most of the ammo storage is further forward of the damage, or a smaller amount further back, assuming they've not been sloppy or changed the configuration, etc. and none of the armed weapon systems appear to have exploded at that point - while it is consistent location and damage wise with where anti-ship missiles of the Neptune type would try to aim for I've got a suspicion though looking at that damage they've managed to **** themselves while trying to engage a TB2.

This is Russian propaganda - they will never admit that Ukraine beat them, if they lose its to NATO they will not accept losing to anyone else - you can be gaurantee that if they get pushed out of Ukraine russian media will claim it's because NATO went into Ukraine to fight. That's why Russian incompetence leading to a fire or a "NATO submarine" bombing their ship is far more palatable story to go with than "little brother Ukraine breaks big brother's nose"

Looking at the information surfacing tonight I'm increasingly wondering if they didn't manage to take themselves out with their own anti-air complex - probably while trying to engage a TB2 :s

Air raid sirens over most of the south of Ukraine currently - looks like could be cruise missile attacks.

Cherkasy, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Zaporizhia and Poltavska

Hate to break it to you, it often really is.

There is a video out there, not sure if all is from Ukraine though it purports to be, of Russian soldiers shooting themselves in the head with their personal weapons doing the stupidest of things like trying to ride a bicycle while resting the butt of their machinegun on the handle bars with the muzzle under their chin...

Looks like cruise missile attacks overnight trying to hit Ukraine's transport infrastructure - probably because it looks like Ukraine is switching it up a gear with a counter-attack against Russian logistics to try and disrupt their ability to organise and start a major offensive in the East.

If true I suspect this was used as a launch platform for Kinzhals or similar for strikes in more distant parts of Ukraine, like Lviv above, rather than bombing Mariupol:

Some interesting reading out there of possible counter attacks out of Kharkiv, pushing towards Belogorod. Looking to cut off their supply lines to Izyum and encircle the attempted encirclers :D

I just hope they aren't leaving Kyiv exposed as it looks like Ukraine has pushed quite deep south of Izyum with heavy forces, probably using some of what they were holding back west of Kyiv, as well as pushing east from Kharkiv.

It is what they need to do though to break Russia's ability to build up momentum.

I guess Ukraine to Russia is like Brexit to us, barn fire? Blame the Ukrainians!

Doubt it is on Twitter, it has been doing the rounds on the likes of Telegram. I don't recommend watching it - I wouldn't have done intentionally.

Looks like there's a big hole in the side at the waterline below the main structure.

Pretty consistent with where a good hit(s) would be of either active radar homing or IR based anti-ship missiles and not much stored there (usually) which would punch through the hull.
