I mean, Russia would never say they have been crippled by sanctions/say everything is fine now...surely this isn't the case? My understanding of this is limited so looking for knowledgeable posters to help. :)

It's important to not spread disinfo no matter the side

Those are cannibalised aircraft and there's been plenty of hypersonic missiles launched, they're called Iskanders

This all a bit crazy isn't it, why do we bother with any comments from Russia, they are fascist murderers, I believe the international response is ok ish at the end of the day though civilians and family lives being wrecked is not acceptable in a civilised world let alone europe. Germany, austria, us and anyone else should be ostracising Russia no matter the hardship to the local economy, it is the only way to force them to stop. How the west can rationalise a loss of oil or gas against what is happening to innocent families is incomprehensible.

Impounding a few super yachts doesn't cut it, time to get real.

Yes you had better not spread disinformation.

9K720 Iskander is a family of weapons but mostly are ballistic weapons with evasive terminal guidance. Hypersonic cruise weapon is the Kh-47M2 `Kinzhal` whilst based on the Iskander is definitely a different weapon. It also has plasma stealth (one reason why the west are rapidly launching micro satellites to track them and active lasers to engage them)

Sounds like someone is really not happy about there ship sinking

How the hell did you let Moskva be sunk? State TV host rants at Russian Navy

A Russian state TV presenter has expressed his fury over the sinking of the country’s warship Moskva demanding answers on how it managed to go down.

Russia-1 anchor Vladimir Solovyov, who has been sanctioned for his support of Putin, criticised the Navy over the incident during a nationwide broadcast.

He said: ‘I am furious about what happened to the Black Sea Fleet’s flagship, Moskva. I am simply furious.

‘And yes, we say it was quite old and went through repairs, and, yes, this series of ships has vulnerabilities. I get it.

‘But tell me this: how did you manage to lose it? Explain me, why the hell you were in that particular area of the Black Sea at that time?’

Mr Solovyov questioned why there was no system in place to mitigate chaos in the event of a fire.

He said: ‘I don’t care what exactly happened – if indeed [it was] the two Neptune missiles as the Ukrainians said. Since when was a combat ship scared of a missile strike, since it has a defence system? Was something not activated?

‘Even it it was hit with two missiles and it ignited the ammunition – what happened to your fire fighting system?’

Are you saying there's no Russian Nazis?

A post from about 2hrs later -

It's a known fact that all 3 groups involved (UA, RU and Separatists) have fairly large contingents (900+) within their military/civil defence forces who are active Nazi's, I would hope by this point that should be an unassailable fact.

BTW, and this is entirely non-judgemental from my part, asking "are you saying........." and then asking something that was never said is called a "Strawman" and it tends to be seen as a very poor form for discussion as the question implies that the answer is a rhetorical "gotcha" rather than a real question. I prefer discussions to have more straight forward questions and answers, for example the question could have been "do you believe that there are Russian Nazis?" which wouldn't have been seen as a Strawman but would still have got the same answer.

*Ukraine President's Chief Of Staff: "The Second Phase Of The War Has Started," Referring To Russia's New Eastern Assault

No, it's really not. It's just the business end of an Iskander-M that's dropped from an aircraft. Are you sure you're not thinking of the 3M22 Zircon?

Yes it really is , if it was an `Iskander` , it would be identified as the same family of weapons. 3M22 is ship born and will replace the P-700 on the Kirov`s in a VLS cell system. Tass themselves say it was Kinzhal not Iskander-M , The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said that the use of the "Dagger" in Ukraine confirmed its effectiveness - the Army and the defense industry - TASS . Iskander is Land Based , Kinzhal is airbourne and Zircon is naval.
