There certainly could be some truth to the ship on fire.

Both definitely look like ships

Yes and no historically in soviet days they were close and russian children were even taught mandarin (learnt this from the someone I used to know's russian wife she could understand mandarin when spoken on TV etc)
I should have more specific but I was thinking of the Soviet-Sino split in late 50's early 60's.

Sometimes I wonder which of the two is more responsible for this situation - Lavrov seems like a piece of work.
Well, technically speaking the answer is Lavrov, he was the one who negotiated Ukraine's surrender of it's existing nuclear weapons and dismantling of it's nuclear weapons industry back in the early 90's, if he hadn't done that this invasion would never have been possible.

Imagine losing 2 of your ships in a war that is 99% on land
Imagine your Black Sea flagship with super anti-air defence get's sunk by modernised Soviet missiles that you literally had access to the plans to and should have been the best at defending against, so you christen another of your Black Sea ships your flagship, and then that gets hit with the same damn missiles xD

Wow, the british are really pushing the Russian nerves in this conflict, leading the European resistance once again. The issue though, can 2022 UK be compared to 1939 UK? Can the UK really defend those who seek support from the UK?

Seems the Yanks do not know about this boat. Given they have satellites above the area and numerous spy planes over the area, you would think they would know.

Also on Friday, the Pentagon said it could not confirm that a Russian frigate [warship] was on fire in the Black Sea.
"We’ve been looking at this all day and we have no information to corroborate those reports."
