That would depend on whether the comment is directed at Starlink or western satellites in general. Starlink operates in a much lower orbit than almost all other satellites so you could make a right mess of that low earth orbit and prevent Starlink from being viable without really affecting other satellites
Pretty sure they'd want to go after GPS satellites first given they're the ones being used to guide a lot of the advanced munitions sent to Ukraine, that and Ukraine using GPS for their drone fleets too

From memory star link satellites are very small compared to normal ones, and up there in extremely large numbers in non geosynchronous orbits so hitting them would likely be much harder than a normal satellite.

If he targets any satellite there is a very good chance that ALL the satellites start going down very quickly, as the debris cloud from one will likely hit additional ones, then their debris clouds hit more, and very rapidly you end up in a situtation where there may be none up there and no way to put any more in place (or for them to last once up).

No matter how "carefully" you aim to disable one satellite you produce debris and you cannot model how every tiny bit will go resulting in a cascade of destruction and debris.
You've watched Gravity too many times. Brains far bigger than mine concluded the premise in the movie wouldn't be anywhere near as bad and only be localized to a few satellites.

As I said starlink can move itself with its thrusters, if a missile comes in and explodes they should be able to just move the rest of satellites a few km further out to save them. That assumes it's just a single attack, if they are constantly targeted well that's a different story

So a single Russian missile will result in the vast majority of satellites being saved by just firing thrusters to move away no problem. If Russias fires multiple, well they'll find US missiles taking out all their own **** too.

Remember starlink is now an official communications supplier for the US military, Russia thinks its civilian targets and we know they like to hit civilians but in reality an attack on Starlink is an attack on the US military it's a declaration of war

Yeah it always makes me laugh that all that debris is orbiting the earth every 40 mins or so but Sandra Bullock and crew are defying physics and are somehow just suspended in the same spot in space

Hang on, if he says he's not going to do something then...

Back in reality he's a prolific liar potentially capable of anything, all his bluster then his calmness etc.. is all just for show, there isn't necessarily any substantial underlying change in the risk, especially when it comes to Crimea.

Europe has too much Gas and wholesale prices on the continent have reached $0 and briefly even went negative as Europe's storage depots ran out of space to store all the incoming gas.

Remember when Putin said Europe would have no gas? Pepper ridge farm remembers.

There is also currently 35 ships full of gas from the U.S and Qatar waiting in the ocean to be able to dock and offload
