Yes London is/was awash with Russian money and politicians were dipping their snouts in it.

Its from there that it goes a bit off the rails.

And I might regret this but why are the covid lockdowns in China happening if it isn't covid?
 
Why are people blaming Truss for the hacking when it was the Russians who did it? It’s kinda like saying to a victim, well you asked to be robbed because you left your house unlocked

If the Chinese have so called police stations in other countries and are operational open about You think they don’t have a few spies in government

Shows you the level of attacks in our country. If they hacked her phone which it would have some level of protection, then what other areas have they spies in.

How far have they infiltrated our government and what other areas have they managed to get into.

Because the Russians reportedly got secret info off her personal phone. Regardless if it’s been ‘secured’ with a mdm or whatever (and there’s nothing suggesting it has been) there’s no way policy would allow classified info to be discussed on it. I doubt they allow classified info on fully locked down supervised government devices!

London is full of Russians, and they don’t socialise with anyone anymore.
The ones that I have spoken to mostly are peddling that the war is just, not all of them but a good amount.

These Russians are wealthy Russians. Sorry to say but 99% of people in this forum will never get close to or have conversations with these Russians.
 
That's the problem with phones, you need two locked down terminals. One and the phone conversation or content is still vulnerable to some extent. Really landline phones are much better for secret squirrel stuff. If you trust the operators.

There may be some blame on Truss, but nsmalley certainly isn't wrong here. To put the blame entirely on 'these fools' certainly isn't fair. (I don't care either way about Labour/Conservatives, I'm no longer in the UK... so whatever). They definitely need to tighten up cyber security after this.

Bit of both really but they are overreacting massively, testing control of the population with thier QR code bullcrap that will run well after COVID has done is the other, they now have the ability to find, track and stop/lock up citizens with this technology they have deployed.
 
The winner in Ukraine will be who can deal best with the winter weather. Equipment wise seems to favour Ukraine however the Russians are trying to defeat Ukraine through its city populations freezing and dying in numbers. Can the Russian troops survive outside over the winter months will be being asked.
 
A new perspective:

Anyway, the point is that if you think about Russia's invasion of Ukraine as an old-fashioned attempt at territorial conquest, it makes no sense. States don't gain power by conquering territory anymore, this isn't the 18th or 19th century.

But if you think of it as a mob hit to intimidate states from exiting the protection racket that delivers corrupt rent streams to Russia's ruling kleptocrats, then it at least made sense--until Ukraine fought back

Now he is panicking, and trying to draw any country that will listen into the mix under the guise 'the West is doomed, so join the new world order' (paraphrasing). I suppose it has some potential for some coalitions to be formed, which is dangerous. I'm curious what the Chinese military can do now, given how badly Russia performed. I assume they are in a better state with less corruption, but you never know.
