Even assuming they ramped industry to the max now they are months off arming, equipping and transporting 5 million men - even assuming they skip training, have them walking significant distances and go back to WW2 tactics of one man picking up the weapon and carrying on after the previous guy with the weapon becomes a casualty...

Even if they chucked 5 million into the grinder in one go I doubt they would win, the logistics of supporting such a movement would collapse almost instantaneously. Hell they couldnt manage the logistics with the original attack force. Now Ukraine has HIMARS and other goodies than can completely cut off all supplies within hours.

On the contrary you are the one happy to let other people and their children die in Russia's genocidal war. We've all seen the atrocities carried out in Kherson and Bucha, we can all read the daily reports of children killed by the Russians in maternity hospitals, and even the reports of untrained and unequipped conscripts sent to their deaths by Russia.

The way to stop the killing is to end the war. The way to do that is to give Ukraine whole hearted military support to drive the invader out of their country.

Why would they go to the front in any case, then who will pay for defence - it's western tax payers, they need to keep working to pay taxes.

Your contribution to Ukraine is much greater by just paying your taxes or directly donating to the Ukrainian government than trying to go to the front line, Ukraine needs money and supplies not labour
