no becauseI don't go out of my way to watch Russian state media
Almost all of Putin's video's with any civilian recently has been fake, and using the same actors/actresses over and over. Some were even green screen and him not physically being there.

The consumers of these video's are Russian citizens who likely won't even realize this though.

why post that when the subtitles are obviously fake.

modern meme culture is pathetic, people are dying and sad losers are profiting from the deaths with lame memes trying to be comedians
It's called propaganda, they even tell you it's dubbed over.

I'm not sure why people would expect trench warfare to look any different to how it was in WW1, the only difference is we get to see it in full HD 8kajillion pixels with colour

I think most people thought we'd seen the end of trench warfare.

Not sure why

Because is was pretty much universally accepted it was an outright mistake the first time round.

The war to end all wars.

The fact we are here again is pure idiocy. If you get to trech warefare it's time to go home.

I keep hearing how poorly equipped the The Russians are, morale through the floor, badly armed, no leadership... You'd think UKR would be advancing more rapidly if that were the case yet here they are bogged down in trench warfare.

I hope they can get some dry flooring down because that water logged mess could lead to trench foot.

Yeah with those conditions they'll need to be rotating troops every week if not sooner, you can't last for very long there without picking up diseases. Hopefully they don't have a rat infestation

Because Ukraine is not over extending itself. Its being methodical and meticulous. It gets supply chains and logistics in place while simultaneously hammering the supply and logistics of Russia, and then makes a concerted push.

It also doesnt have the supply chains and logistics to push everywhere at once. So some places are completely embedded in. Particularly in locations where they have the defensive advantage and can just mow down mobiks with relative ease.

I think it’s specific to the Bakhmut area, where the Ukrainians have fought a defensive war. The the major counter offensive will be in the south

I'd expect plastic crate flooring or similar that allows water through but keeps you above it and roll out covers that could be pegged with thermal lining and camo over and be sloped at 15degree approx to allow water run off.

That would be a useful set of systems that could be light and portable to move about and give much better conditions.

It is the sheer scale of it - 100s of miles of front line, yet more 100s of miles of border with hostile entities, into the 100s of thousands of manpower and advances slowed by things like de-mining, logistics and fortifications to support the forward movement.

Am always wondering how many Ukraines are fighting the russians in this

Specially when you hear things like there was meant to been around 30,000 russians that retreated from just the Kherson town alone..

It's also the desire by UKR not to waste lives. Whereas it seems Russia seem to be content to play as the Zerg

There doesn't seem to be good figures but including professional armed forces, border forces, police/security, territorial/reserve/volunteer it is about 700K mobilised - but only about 200K professional military, 40-60K security forces and 70-100K other are deployed to combat roles - about 2/3rds of the irregular forces are doing support duties and/or back filling losses.

The water will be ice soon, no need for bread crates lol

You also have to factor in the weather. Although it is getting colder it still seems to be mud swap season so no one is going anywhere fast. Give it a couple more weeks for the ground to freeze hard and we will probably see more movement as the ground will be able to support vehicles again.
