Interesting analysis, but he doesnt mention the impact of small drones dropping grenades etc will have on these lines of trenches. After all trenches are designed to protect against shell on a ballistic trajectory(I,e artillery) when you have a weapon that can drop multiple death directly downwards all a trench does is serve as an amplifier.

And your point is?
Posting an image with no opinion is empty. They are very different wars. So my opinion / point is this. Please add your thoughts rather than just whacking up a pic etc. Apologies if I missed your point. No offence intended here.

Not if they can buy replacements from Iran. I mean it's what UKR is doing from NATO countries.
Does Iran want to deplete their stock of missiles giving them to Russia.

They are already taking tons of gear from Belarus now so they will run out sooner rather than later.

It would be funny if Russia buys up all Irans missiles and then when Israel bombs iran they have no defence

Despite the large amount of drone footage - it only makes up a small part of the ongoing action - probably 90% of engagements don't involve drones, though they are becoming increasingly more common.

Pentagon is reviewing options for new weapons for Ukraine. They include a new gps guided rocket with a 160km range that costs half the price of HIMARS GMLRS that Boeing wants to produce for Ukraine. There is also a proposal of a gliding bomb that can be launched from Ukraine's planes and glides 100km to the target

This is very interesting, although not the long range munitions that I wish they would just authorise, even if only on a limited basis (pre-authorised targets?).
It is interesting to see old unguided munitions be developed into precision guided devices.

Although reading that article does further highlight that the only benefactor from this conflict will be the defence firms. Boeing requesting that cost effectivness studies be waivered to increase production could very easily get out of control.

They won’t waver the cost management because nobody wants the blame from the house inquiries.

Gliding bombs have an altitude ceiling where the air becomes too thin to support the bomb without bigger wings. A rocket doesn’t burn long enough to extend lower altitude when then becomes a cruise missile with a jet engine. So unless you make smaller/lighter swarms (which then become wind dependant) that reduce the payload. Then you’re back to drones with gliding bombs. An alternative is helium balloon assistance with kamikaze glide bombs. Slow but easily spotted on radar.

I have real concerns that the acceptability of drones, and the lessons being learned here, is going to lead to a paradigm shift. That technology is widely available, albeit in varying degrees of sophistication.

Maybe I just worry too much, and everyone will be sensible, forever.

I'm not making any comment about Ukrainian/ Russian usage today, simply what this means for the future.

As in a terrorist attack using domestic drones? I'm sure the skies in the UK are heavily monitored, they come down like a ton of bricks extremely quickly on people who just fly domestic drones even remotely neat airports and Military bases

A bit.

More that drones will be used extensively as a military weapon, which changes things in ways we can't yet understand.
