Curiously Biden's temperament may actually serve to confuse Putin if he thinks the guy is senile, not sure it's entirely useless to be perceived as incompetent to the enemy.

The guy is 79 in a physically and mentally demanding job, especially right now, it happens. He is holding up quite well. Slip ups are understandable.

Some more commentary on the apparent shift in the narrative from Russia, it seems the focus could be on grabbing a chunk of the east now (plus the land bridge to Crimea).

He probably shouldn't be in the role tbh.. it's fine if your President is just the head of state as per Ireland but if he's in charge of the day-to-day running of the government or the executive branch in US terminology then it's too old.

Yet we have the prospect in 2024 of both main US parties fielding two really old guys yet again.

The question mark remains over what they'll decide to do after establishing their corridor will they move on to Odessa?
Obviously the original plan has gone off the rails, but Putin would have wanted to take Odessa then move a few miles east to link up with the Russian separatist "republic" on the Moldavian/Ukrainian border.

Another general down:
It's okay, Russia have a plan to replace him. They're promoting Major incompetence to General, he can then take over in Volgograd thus freeing up General Failure to go to the front.

I agree man, and whether by accident or not he's put the idea in Putin's mind that NATO might get involved and you can tell from what both Putin and Lavrov have been saying that they are terrified of NATO involvement, like all bullies they're terrified when people stand up to them, they cant call his buff either as he said it was an accident, it will certainly give them cause for concern and cause confusion.
