*****UK's Best Price & Staggering DEAL - ATI HD 5870 £179.99 Delivered!*****

Too many OCD people here who need a nice colour coordinated PC. ;)

I don't think its just the fact that its the colour. I'd prefer a reference design as I want to dip my foot into the world of water-cooling and I'm guessing blocks will be easier to get hold of. May also hold more resale value if its a reference design too...but yeah, going for purely looks is strange!

Help!

Guys getting desperate before the price goes up any more... Can anyone tell me what device ID this card has?

Looking for either 0x6898 or 0x6899.

Help much appreciated from anyone with these cards!

The other xfx card On offer isn't reference, so I've read and didn't get great reviews.

From what I've read it was suffering the grey screen problems. I was going to go for that but the amount of people that had the problem with XFX put me off.

Well, so far so good for me. Mine is a non-reference design with the central fan and exposed heat pipes at the top. Although in theory I prefer cards which exhaust as much heat as possible from the back of the case, I have my PC on the desk with the side off and a Zalman bracket fan blowing directly down onto the vid card & hot area of my motherboard chipsets. So the non-ref design is perfect for my needs.

A bonus is that after sitting in freezing DPD warehouses for about four days it's going to take about a month to warm up. That should improve its benchmarking performance nicely. ;-)

Andrew McP... wondering if on Wednesday he'll find himself dribbling over 69** reviews and regretting this. :-)

mine arrived at last lol , it looks the same cooler as the powercolor 5870 pcs+ . but the heatpipes are all 6mm where as the pcs+ has 2x 8mm and 2x 6mm , seems these use the same cooler has the powercolor 5830 pcs+ (4x 6mm heatpipes) but the shroud is red on this vtx 5870 but still keeps it cool .

looking at the pic below it looks like that one in the pic has 2x 8mm and 2x 6mm , can anybody confirm this please
