Hi im struggling to decide on a monitor with a budget of 300, im not interested in 3d gaming at all, but would like to have a true 120hz monitor. Although the highest resolutions i can find are 1920x1080 so am i better of not bothering and going for the 27" acer or samsung. I will be using a 6950 toxic 2gb graphics card and will be playing fps.

Are there any 120hz monitors that are not 3d

Thanks

120hz is needed for 3D (60Hz per eye) but u dont have to enable 3D, in which case u get to play 2D @ 120Hz (double normal framerate) which effectively makes fast paced gaming smoother.

Firstly u need to decide whether u will benefit more from having a larger screen size (though note with those 27" monitors its the same resolution 1900x1080 as the 23") or higher Hz. A larger screen may be more immersive but the 120Hz panel is fantastic for FPS gaming.
