Undercover Police bike following an EVO on some country roads...

I can't watch the vid in the car, but if the hatched markings have solid lines its far from perfectly legal, quite the opposite in fact.

but as its the IOM I expect the road markings allow for maximum race mode

Yep, I always loved the fact that the Isle of Mans interpretation of road safety was to not use Cats Eyes as it upset the bikes on the racing line :P

IIRC Isle of Man does not have a speed limit. That's what I remember the top gear lot saying.

yes it does hwoever the national speed limit int he isle of man is unrestricted so where u see the national speedlimit its all good hence my sig

also only cars and bikes are unrestricted vans ect are limited and make it dodgy

the road on the video is the mountin riad from ramsey to douglas no speed limit :)

also no mot's either

over the last few years a national speed limit has been voted against twice however more and more speed limits are coming into place mainly due to accients caused by drugged and drunk drivers (island is wick with them)

I followed a Police Mondeo ST220 over the mountain in my Subaru P1 a few years ago, it was somewhere after the Gooseneck, before Windy corner, at about an indicated 140mph the Police driver wound his window down and waved me past. Was about the most surreal driving experience ever. :D

The IOM is superb for driving, but you have to be very careful, there isn't much room for error. I love the place but would only go back at a quiet time of year, not during TT week again.
