Unigine Heaven 4 benchmark

I got 2 x GTX 780s at score 2968
Cores at 1202mhz
RAM at 1625.

My CPU and system RAM is still at stock at the moment as I'm waiting on new RAM before I o/c running running 4 x 4GB on a 4670K Z87X-OC board. That puts in into 15th place with no CPU or system RAM o/c I'm happy with that :D

Welcome to the thread.

And on the scoreboard.:)

Cheers. So what extra can I expect score wise once ive clocked my cpu and ram?

Overclocking the CPU will make a difference with two cards but overclocking system ram makes very little difference. It is all about having enough CPU speed to drive the cards. It is the same with i7 CPUs, turning off the hyperthreading can increase the score slightly as it allows the remaining cores to work more efficiently.

Just ran these

I used a 3930k with 2 cores turned off and also Hyperthreading off.
2 x GTX 690s used at stock speeds for all runs

3930k on 4 cores @3.8 (same as turbo speed on 4670k), no HT
Ram @2400mhz 9-11-11-25 1T 96

3930k on 4 cores @4.6 (reasonable oc for a 4670k), no HT
Ram @2400mhz 9-11-11-25 1T 96

The difference in score between these first two results is purely down to CPU speed.

On this last run below the memory speed has been dropped to 1600mhz, this has resulted in only a tiny drop in score.

3930k on 4 cores @4.6 (reasonable oc for a 4670k), no HT
Ram @1600mhz 9-11-11-25 1T 96 (very slow memory speed)

Cheers!

Definitely preferred it when the score boards weren't in spoiler tags, although do appreciate it could be a ball ache to manage.

If you want to see all the scoreboards in one place they are at the top of page 59.

I had to change things as the old one got too big and when editing it I kept losing scores from the bottom half of the table.

I have put in a link so you can view all the scoreboards together.:)

This has got me stumped...I'm booting into Win 7 tonight

14. Score 1714, GPU 780ti @1215/1901, CPU 4960X @4.5, MjFrosty

7. Score 1780, GPU 780ti, @1101/1925, CPU 2500k @4.55, sejm

There are so many ways to different ways to record the clocks depending on where you take the figures and what overclocking software is used.

Set your clocks with GPU tweak

Monitor with AB or Precision, it's what I did when I had 7970's

The other reason I am against it is I remember all the hassle with trying to get a score on the old Heaven 3 bench where it was too complicated. What I tried to do when starting this thread was to have something that was quick and easy to use. With some posts it is hard enough to get the in bench screenshot.:)

All my clocks are the same in every app, so I don't think it's this. It's not a big deal as it's only a few points but still makes me chin scratch a little.

I think where sejm is getting his clock speed from if he is using PrecisionX is the 780ti clock 876mhz + 225mhz offset. This is how I record my clocks for my Titans 837mhz + 157mhz = 994mhz for example. Unfortunately doing it this way does not show the max boost. With my Titans even though I post 994mhz they are actually boosting to 1175mhz.

Well it looks like my 930 is running out of steam, going to 4.2ghz did not make any real difference. But saying that how much would l gain using faster ram?

But can't complain my son's more than happy with my old 920@4ghz as its on air.:)

Will be upgrading definitely next may as well wait for DDR4 and Haswell refresh.

Faster RAM will not make any difference on this bench.

Also overclocking your CPU to 4.2 will not make much difference either as the fps @1440p are quite low so your CPU will have no problems keeping up.

Below is some runs I did to answer a similar question but on that occasion I was using 1080p (@1440p the differences will be even smaller).
