Make your mind up. Which one is it, the 'daft left' or the 'alt-right'?

I keep reading this but it's not a popularity contest. People should vote for what they think is important to them and I think that is what people have done here. I have read and heard so much talk about dwindling job opportunities and security. Trump promises them those things. If your life is in such a state that you feel voting Clinton won't fix that then you go the other way, as is the state of US politics.

It's short sighted to say "Obama was a nice guy, Trump isn't". Someone on radio 4 the other day was stating that Obama put the country in more debt during his tenure than all his predecessors combined! I wonder how true that is, but if so, those things are more important to me than voting for a personality.

Clearly people have just voted for someone who is not a politician. Genuinely that simple.

Id give him 4 years at most. He might have been able to deliver a populist message and capitalise on the unpopularity of his opponent. But he is still Donald and he is still absurdly unsuited to the job. If he gets t do much of what he promised, I see it being a very rough 4 years for everyone. Let's just hope his party can reign him in.

It's a shame that it's taken this and Brexit for the establishment politicians to realise how badly they have lost the trust of the people.

At least Trump will be over in 4 years, Brexit won't go away.
