Mate has a Peugot 206 and the radio has gone into lock down mode as she had the battery changed.

Anyone got any good shops web sites to go to get it unlocked as the local Peugot dealer is asking a fortune to unlock it..

check the documents that came with the dcar, maybe it'll be in the service book or car manual binder.

Have you tried taking it out? Some people write the code on the stereo for this eventuality.

Not sure if she can take it out as its one of them built into the dash i have been told, but ty for the reply, will have to take it to the dealership i think and pay the £125 to get it unlocked! ouch!

You could probably buy and fit a new one for that :eek:

My lass has a blaupunkt radio in her micra with no code, how can you get it?

Tried pulling the unit out of the dash? - many coded radio's have the code written on the headunit, failing that, if it was a standard fit Nissan should help out if you give them the chassis number.

I'd be down at the local Peugeot dealer making a fuss as I am pretty sure they have to supply the radio codes to the registered keeper for free. Point out the objective function of the code. Just don't leave until you get the code, they will cave.

My mate did a search on the net for the code for his 206, he found a formula that you can work out the code for it through the numbers out of the serial code on the unit itself, where the code is on the net i have no idea, but eh did it and it actually worked :eek:

Their is freely available software on the net which is also sold on Ebay by con artists which will give you the key just by typing in the serial number on the side/back of the HU. A quick search myself and I have found some the following;

Get hold of the dealership, and as above dont take no for an answer! £125 is a joke i needed the code for my punto, phoned the dealer, gave them the reg had the code within a minute, the guy just looked it up on the system! if they tell you its any kind of hassle they are talking mince.
