Untethered GreenposiOn jailbreak for 4.2.1 FW released

you can do a tethered jailbreak on the current ATV firmware. Once it's plugged in, it stays plugged in, it's not like if you are out and about with your phone and need to hard reset it

I got one from john lewis a couple of weeks back and it was on the older firmware which has an untethered jb but i updated it anyway

I have a tethered jailbreak on my 3GS new bootrom. Would I have to completely restore my phone to be able to do this untethered break?

Had some problems with Cydia this afternoon, lots of packages just simply refused to download for the first few tries. I guess it was either my broadband, or a lot of people are trying to re-download all their Cydia applications after upgrading and jailbreaking.

All set up now at last though, and removed that annoying /usr/bin/animate icon.

Hopefully this fixes the issue with my WiFi refusing to work after switching from GPRS/EDGE/3G to WiFi

Did you do this on an iPhone 4 or below? I found the me.com only works for the iPhone 4? Is this true? Did try it on a 3GS but don't think it's free?

yes i believe it great,, used it on 5 iphones 3 ipads and not one problem other than small glitches putting in sources but i firmly believe as said earlier in thread every mother n son are doing same servers over loaded..
and yes if problem restore to previous state..

just jailbroke my phone, no problems... did a lot of restarting as going through the cydia set up... thought i broke it xP but it's fine

just wondering to those who use MyWi.... coudl you tether for free? as when i start up the app it still says addition charges may apply... i.e. O2 wanting to charge me 7.50 a month for 500mb

i'm a bit confused about the whole billing thing.... i installed the mywi app but it didnt ask for any account or antyhing and just installed it.... so i am confused how the billing works.... total noob at this xP

i think mywi trial is for 3 or 4 days only.. so after few days it wont work..

yeh, I was having all sorts of weird problems when downloading everything this morning.. Cydia is a pain in the ass

Jailbreak works fine though, nice to have a untethered one so in the case my iPad does crash I can restart it

yep its the 3 day free trial.... now i'm on O2 will they actually charge me for this or is it below their radar? wink wink nudge nudge, i have unlimited data plan so would i be right in assuming that by using this app its just using the cellular data and they just think im using only my phone... not tethering to a laptop?
