Untethered GreenposiOn jailbreak for 4.2.1 FW released

Seems to work. Jailbroke using a Mac. GUI wouldn't work so launched it from a terminal and everything seemed to work fine.

I can't get my ATV2 into DFU mode, I have tried every tutorial on the net but it refuses to work, the best I can get is Itunes seeing it as an apple tv and sometimes it says it has found an Iphone in restore mode but greenpois0n still says waiting for DFU

Any ideas?

*edit* I'm using windows
 
Why do you care what Itunes says? Greenp0ison says to close ITunes the second it opens. Holding down the two bottom buttons is all that is required.
 
One thing to remember with this version is that, because it puts the ipad baseband on the phone, you can't restore to official firmware - at least until a new baseband comes out. Because of this you can't quickly unjailbreak to take it in to an Apple store for warranty issues.

Greenpois0n puts the iPad baseband on? Didn't think it changed anything like that?

Whats the baseband got to do with it. Its not an unlock, its a jailbreak. I didn't think it changed anything to do with the baseband either.
 
Seems to be WIFI issues on the ATV. Devs know they exist. Would wait for an update. Pain when it keeps losing wireless.

I just unjailbreaked mine with iTunes and it did it fine. Now Jailbroken again.

A load of codswollop, just restored using iTunes with firmware from Apple servers and rejailbraked using greenpois0n rc6 no problem.
 
done mine for the first time but can somone please tell me how do i get the costom wallpapers to work not themes wallpaper ive downloaded some cant find them any were ????

You're thinking of redsn0w, which does have this ability (and the risks that come with it as you stated). I wouldn't recommend users of in-warranty iPhones use this option.

Greenpois0n is a jailbreak tool - not an unlock, so it has no reason going anywhere near the baseband.
