Hi everyone
Just like to thank everyone for their advice on the forum and for putting up with the usual newbie questions. I switched on the new rig yesterday and it fired up without any problems what so ever.
Installed the operating system & drivers. Adjusted case & cpu speeds with the Asus software to lower noise levels. Temperatures are fine.
Only have to try it in anger today and check running temps, just doing a little bit at a time as am not to well at the mo.
Total cost of this build if anyone is interested £480
( Saved £100 on Card,Mobo and CPU by shopping around )
Work to do, may have to upgrade PSU.
Save up for another 8800GT when required
Only mistake! bought Artic silver5 for a fiver but cooler has pad already on lol
