I guess this is to shift the older chips before devil canyon hits. I mean who will want these when the superior CPUs hit, they would have to be heavily discounted to shift them.

Why would they do that?

The whole point of this promo will be shift to the (to be) older gen CPUs.. :p

I thought this was being run by Asus to shift their new mobos? I can't see that many people splashing out on a high end motherboard and not wanting to pair it with the DC cpus.

I'm pretty sure it's Asus funding this particular promo, maybe with a little help from Intel.

But the main reason I asked is because it has been suggested elsewhere that Devil's Canyon CPUs will be included, wanted to get some confirmation from OcUK if they have heard anything like that from Asus.

I believe that it's mostly Intel so the answer is no
 
I'll wait and see some reviews for DC then. From one of the reviews I saw of the 4790k it suggested the 4690k might be nothing more than a 100mhz speed bump, so it could be worth getting the 4670k with £30 knocked off?
 
promotion on the chips is 30-60days after purchase.

most companies invoice the retailers with 30 day invoices so they want thier money before we get our cashback xD

So as long as you buy the products within the promotion dates (18/08/14 - 03/10/14) you can still claim the cashback? So if I bought them on say 02/10/14 and waited 30 days I can still claim?
 
How do you get the claim form though?

The claim form will be available no sooner than 30 days and no later than 60 days of your invoice date. Please return to the claim form online 30 days after your invoice date.
