Update from 4770K.... its time

Looking for someone to spec me a built - keeping the GFX card, no monitor needed or peripherals - ideally a smaller case minding the gfx card size

What do you use the system for, just gaming? Any video editing, 3D rendering work or?

What's your approx/budget?

When you say smaller, do you mean you want a fairly SFF case with an ITX mobo? Or just a compact midi tower with a standard ATX mobo still?

Here is a sample Intel build, micro atx and smaller case but options at ATX if you prefer. I put in 3 psu which I think are good choices at their respective output, you can reuse your current PSU if you prefer. Next gen gpus are ment to be very power hungry and a new standard is being rolled out so hard to advise.

This is not an ideal time to upgrade with AM5 and 13th gen coming out in the Autumn but this is very good value for the performance uplift you will get. If you prefer you can go for a 12700, mobo will be good for it but you may then want to look into a 240mm AIO for cooling. Just add extra NVME storage for your needs , get best TB/£ modules for general storage.

don't need to spend a lot and i'd agree with @Haz123 suggestions for the most part with a few tinkering round the edges
