Shes been out of plaster for a while now, and the Doctors have seen no need for her to even go to physio!
The guy who removed that original hunk of plaster (put on after her op) and put on a new lightweight, more flexible cast, mentioned some exercises for her to do as it allowed some movement...and as soon as she could, she was back on it and using it. Shes been told that movement in it is excellent, although the two long screws may need to be removed...and yeah, its been said it will be at least 12 months before it will be considered 'healed'
