Hey guys
For the past 2 and a half weeks I worked as an intern at the London Film Festival for Premier PR on behalf of BFI.
Jobs included
- Managing press screenings (scanning passes and communicating with the projectionist with regards to giving the film the go ahead)
- Assembling press screening attendance lists (sorting the press from the industry and then e-mailing the list)
- Manning the desk in the delagate center dealing with inquires from the press. (inquiries about press screenings, ticket inquiries)
- Running the DVD library in which the press could take 2 DVDs off site to review.
I worked at the film festival last year as well as a volunteer and was 'promoted' this year after undergoing an interview with the Press Screening's Manager.
I'm obviously going to work on this myself but if anyone has any suggestions on how I can make this sounds as impressive as possible I'd love to hear it!
Here is a very very quick attempt that obviously needs work
After setting a good impression as a volunteer at the festival the previous year, my C.V was forwarded to the press department alongside other candidates. Proceeding an interview I was promoted to an intern, working for Premier PR on behalf of BFI over the course of the festival. Tasks involved managing press screenings, assembling press screening attendance lists and manning the press desk assisting with general inquiries from members of the press.
