Looking to move from a Samsung 4K TV to a 1440p 100/144Hz monitor as there are fairly good deals about now.

Anyway two models I have in mind are the AOC CU34G2/BK and LG 27GL850-B, I know the differences between the two are VA and IPS.

Currently have a 3060 Ti and looking to get the most from it, so my limit is £300 but are both good choices?

I'd go for the LG all day long. Much better quality panel and IPS wins by far imo. Much better colours and viewing angles etc compared to TN and VA.

How's LG with warranties if required in the future?

I have two of the 27GL850 and I’ve been very happy with them. The on screen display shows you what Hz it’s running (receiving) at which is dependent on how well your gpu is performing.

They are also two diffrent sizes and pixel layout 32 inch is the sweet spot imo.

Another to consider.

Thanks for that, choices choices?

What's the build quality like?

Ordered the LG GL850-B and arrived yesterday. No dead or stuck pixels to report however is it normal for the panel to look cool on the left and warm on the right?

It almost seems like backlight bleed but if I move position it fades away and turns warm and vice versa?

Can't take a photo of the screen as it really makes it look bad if you get what I mean.

If I'm sat directly in front of the screen it looks similar to backlight bleed in the bottom left corner but move and it disappears?

I'm in a pretty dark part of the room and blacks in top left and bottom left look bluish?

This does sound strange - never known for those models to have that problem. But it does sound like you’re not satisfied. Maybe speak with LG about it? Or ask for a replacement. LG’s are typically a really good brand to go for when it comes to monitors.
