Hi there
After 4 or so months with the PC in my Sig, I've decided that it could do with some upgrades, so I'm planing on getting;
Crucial M4 128GB http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-009-CR
LG BH10LS38 10x BluRay-RW / 16 x DVD±RW http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CD-107-LG
Asus Xonar DG 5.1http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SC-011-AS
I do have a few questions and it would be great if people could answer them for me
Will it be alright to not reformat my current HDD, as i don't have an external hardrive, I'm planning on unplugging my current HDD and then reinstalling windows and various drivers on the SSD. After that i was going to plug the HDD back in and delete the windows installation on that. Will this cause any problems? or is it going to be easier and simpler to buy an external HDD?
Also the SATA-3 ports on my mother board are blocked by my graphics card, which means that I'll have to use SATA-2 for the SSD, will this have any noticeable impact on the SSD's performance? finally i presume that the PSU will be able to cope with the upgrades since the SSD barely consumes any power at all and i cant imagine a sound card or a blu-ray drive consuming that much power.
Thanks for your reply's
