Hi,
Been wrestling my brain on this for a while.
Looking to upgrade my 9 year old PC consisting of a i5 2500k, 8gb RAM DDR4 and a GTX 970. Thinking CPU, MOBO and RAM to start.
I mainly play battlefield v. Occasionally stroll into GTAV. Manage 60fps on low settings.
I have the occasional lag where it's struggling but gameplay is fine tbh.
I only have a 1080p monitor and not looking to buy one really as graphics are fine and they're not that important to me. Which means there isn't much point investing in something i5/i7 /5600 ish with a 3060 that i was thinking about as I'm limited to 1080p.
Needs to get me through 5 years so the next GTA and the next couple of Battlefields. Can't see my self playing much beyond a couple of years as we look to start a family.
Not looking to spend a heap of money. £300 or less. So what is the best value set up for 1080p that will probably be good for a few years? Maybe an AMD 3100?
Thanks!
