Upgrade from 7800GT 256MB

Hiya, I've a Simple question for anyone who can advise please.

Upgrading from the card in title (7800GT 256MB) should I go for a 5850 or something like the Sapphire 4890 Vapor-X 1024MB or 2Gb version?

Am I right in thinking I'd be better off waiting until the 5850's are in stock?

Planning on getting 2x2Gb PC8500 and overclocking the CPU to 3GHz+ (hopefully!)

anything more than 4890 is gonna b bottle necked by the cpu

hm, I tend to do periodic upgrades tho, so I could get a 5850/70 now and in 6-12 months upgrade the CPU/mobo/RAM set, rather than a 4890 and need to upgrade all parts in a year.. decisions decisions..!

It will be such a huge boost.

If you get something like a 1GB 4870 you'll be gobsmacked at how much better it is than the 7800GT. It's not even remotely close.

I upgraded my 7600 512mb to 4890 asus! i regret not waiting for 2gb sapp version. (58xx were not out when i purchased mine).
