Upgrade From XFX 7800GTX 490 CORE CARD?

i play mostly world of warcraft and quake 4 and am looking for which of the two options is more powerful

1. 2 x 7800GTX xfx Extreme 490 1300 (buy 2nd card £180-£200) outlay £180-200

2. 1 x xfx extreme 7950 GX2 520 1300 (sell card for £200 and buy for £390) outlay about the same

i haven't a clue which option benches faster on 3dmark 06 or on my games..........

i have an athlon 4800+ AM2 on the asus dlx sli board and some 2gb xms2.

i don't game at over 1024x768 right now due to a large lcd tv being used.....

honestly, I would keep your current card and buy a TFT with a good 1600x1200 res.

My 7800GTX plays smoothly at 1600x1200 with most games. Why upgrade your gfx if your not going to see the difference?

So even though you'd run at 1336x768 or something, you're considering SLI or a 7950?

That is wwwaaaayyyyy overkill, and at that resolution will be CPU bottlenecked back to the stoneage.

hmm yes i had these thoughts today and hit ebay when i got home and am about to look thru ocuk stock too then im off to google.......cant afford anything like the size im using tho lol
