Upgrade my X-fi?

I have a Creative XtremeMusic soundcard plugged in to some Z2300's and have seen a tonne of new soundcards. Is there anything currently out there that would, somehow improve sound?

I'm currently happy with my Z-2300's, so no speaker recommendations please as i've already discussed a standalone amp and some monitors. Thanks.

Theres nothing leaps and bounds better... some people prefer the sound of the xonar - tho personally I'd say its not worth changing over from one to the other if you already have one or the other...

I upgraded from an extreme music to an essence and really noticed the sound improvement with music.

I think the main reason for this is that I only use headphones with my PC and the essence is designed for this. Very happy with the upgrade though.
