Upgrade time - AM5 block advice

I like the look of the AC Core Aurora block with the performance kit. May buy this to replace my Magnitude block.

Edit: Scratch that, i went ahead and bought it already... though was tempted to buy the Carbon edition, but decided against it in the end since it'll look weird with one carbon part and everythign else normal.

If you like EK stuff, just use it. Don't worry about what tech influencers say. Also, if you're currently using an AM4 block, it will be fine for AM5.

I'd be concerned about supporting a company that treats its staff the way it does, and the level of QC and the potential need for customer support, with the way things are going for them I'm not sure it's wise to invest in their products.

That's fair. Didn’t see that in the news. Absolutely don’t use them then.

Yeah I wouldn't buy from them (EK) now (they'd already priced me out lol), but if you have an existing AM4 block then as far as I understand it should work with AM5

Depending on which AM4 EK block you have you will need some of these

or some of these

Cheers - I have an XSPC Raystorm (V3 I think)... not gonna be moving to AM5 any time too soon anyway (unless I have a few and YOLO it for the 9xx0x3D :P )
I looked at 7950x3D but not quite the upgrade I'd want for a platform change... don't think I'd be quite comfortable dropping 16 > 8 cores... if the rumours of 3d cache on both CCDs are true then maybe 9900x3D!
