Upgrade to Dual core from single core on XP32bit, worth it?

Haha maybe I was a little soft with the pricing in that case! But glad to see it's gone to a good home. You should try to overclock it a little and see what it gets to, I never did as it was in a shuttle and got hot enough without an overclock so never dared to try.
 
Yes, the socket 939 dual core processors do keep their value very well. I also did an upgrade from a single core to a dual core (Opteron 175) about a year ago and it made a huge difference. When there is no money for a new PC we have to squeeze every little bit out of our current machines!
 
WhenI went dual core, I didn't look back. Windows loaded faster and I could turn on more effects in games.
