Hi all

I posted in the GFX card thread and looks like i might upgrade to a ATI 9070XT but was told the H510 is abit of a cooker and was looking to upgrade it to something better. the system i have now is

Ryzen 9 3900X
Seasonic PRIME GX 850w full modular 80+ Gold quiet psu
Aorus X570 AORUS MASTER
Noctua NH-D15 Black

looking at an all black and white case system setup

any suggestions ?

thanks

Hi all been looking at the Lian Li O11 Vision Compact is this a much better case of cooling ? And how does it compare to other Or is there not much in it.

I have the sapphire pure 9070xt. Running some noctua fans and the test temps of running a game for about 15min is about 60c gps and the cpu is about the same. Have not tried for a couple of hours gaming to be fair and not sure what game is the best to stress the system out.

It was a real pain in the ass getting the old card out and had to use a long thin paint brush to press the clip down to release the card as the cpu heatsink was well
In the way. You would have thought motherboard manufactures would think of somthing better than that. Took 20 min

Just had a thought that was locked at 60fps to the monitor. Mmmm.
How do You run the games unlocked to see Max fps to see what true temps are

Other thing is I updated the gfx driver Adrenalin an it runs like a bag of hammers when you click on something it takes like 5 sec to respond ?

so after playing for about 20 min i get about 70c on the cpu and 65c on the GPU playing Hell blade senuas sacrifice.
v sync on 45fps to 60fps
v sync off 45fps to 80fps

1440p monitor with everything turned up in gfx settings

For me 60-70 degs while actively pumping frames isn't terrible.
My 3080ti trinity (12th gen i7 CPU) is in a massive PC Specialist CoolerMaster haf-x case with fans galore and a 360mm Corsair AIO and my graphics hit 70 degrees playing 1440 res warzone.
I am thinking of a smaller case though as it's a hulking big thing I inherited (free) from the FiL.

I think my cpu is really bottlenecking the card as seen the same games run on YouTube with 30% to 40% better frame rates.

My own H510 is fitted with two Arctic P14 up front, with a P12 in the roof and rear. It was meant to be a temporary thing, but it looks nice with an all black build, no RGB and just a white led strip.

CPU cooler is an Arctic Freezer 36.

Running stock out of the box I seen 85c in Cinebemch testing. Undervolting with -30 on all cores and basically running it at 65w instead of 105w saw temps drop to around 70 when gaming on a hot day.

GPU is Sapphire Nitro+ 9070xt and to be honest a bit close to the front fans. But seems content, just getting a bit of fan noise due to the fans being mm away and the thin metal.

The system isn't as quiet as I would like, but with such a small case with a closed front, it's doing better than the Fractal Pop and I like the looks.

That said, I do have an NZXT H9 Flow with nine P14 Pro to transplant the system to. Just not got around to getting the 9950X3D as I think I will wait for the newer version and see if ram prices become a little more palatable. Was also planning on a 420 AIO for that.

I was thinking getting a cheaper chip to tide me over as I have herd the next gen processors are still going to be AM5 platform. Is that true.

My cpu is definitely killing the gfx card

And as for the ram god knows how or when that will drop.
