I made a bit of a fluff up and purchased the NETGEAR RangeMax Next Wireless Router WNR834B. because it had the new IEEE 802.11n (draft) but didn't realise that my laptop didn't have that card fitted , so would it be worth me upgrading to take advantage of this tech? also have my 360 hardwired to this router.

Thanks lads

Im using a similar n-rated wireless router on VM 20mb I can d/l at 2.4mbps on a standard built in wireless card that is only rated at 54G. If your using the laptop around the house far away from the router then maybe a matching PCMCIA would be of benefit, however, test the laptop hardwired and wireless to the router and see the difference in speeds which you get d/l'ing. If there is a significant difference between the speeds then I would suggest a matching card would be a good purchase. Having the 360 wired to the router won't make a difference.
