Hi folks, I am looking to upgrade my 3 year old pc but money is tight and I am trying to scavenge as much as possible from my old system. I am looking for a rig that will play current games on a mid range setting and be suitable for upgrading over the next 18 months ( new processor gfx etc).
I am looking at the following build :
XFX Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - £83.98
AMD Athlon II X2 Dual Core 250 3.00GHz (Socket AM3) - £59.00
Asus M4A785D-M Pro AMD 785G (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
£57.99
Corsair XMS2 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 TwinX Dual Channel (TWIN2X4096-8500C5C) - £52.99
total £264.89 INC VAT
I have an Antec P180 case and a Seasonic S12 powersupply 500w in my old system, would this power supply be able to cope with the above upgrades (enough power / correct pins etc) and would the upgrades provide the level of performance I am looking for??
Thanks in advance for your help
