Urgent Advice please - cheap upgrade

Hi I want to upgrade my motherboard, cpu and ram. My current system is so old im too embarrassed to say, but my graphics card, psu and hard drives arnt too bad.

I wont be going much gaming but a lot of big file extractions.

Which is better E6600 for £150 or £E6750 for £125 ??

Can anyone recommend a mother board for intel core duo - £80 MAX!

Ram DDR2 - id like 2 GB but no idea what speed/make ect

The E6750 is better.

E6600 for 150!! LOL damn.

Nah mate if your spending 150+ you want a Q6600. It's bascially the Quad E6600.

If you are not bothered about quad get the 6750.

2x 1GB DDR2 6400 (Not geil, found some cheaper Elixir stuff)

Ive just blown up a Hiper Type-R 580 though, luckily it didnt take out any components
