URGENT - Body repair shop in Bishops Stortford/Stansted Area

Hehe, been speaking to a dealer about PX'ing for another one.

Anyone have a rough idea what sort of cost to buy back? How do they calculate that?

Neil.

Thanks mate, will be back with one of these in a month or so

Forgot to mention, I spoke to the insurance company about buying back and it's allowed they just mention that previous statement to discourage people from putting them back on the road.

Neil.

Just had the first offer, sent back a few adverts and a contact number for the garage where it's serviced to vouch for the condition compared to the majority of other Teg's.

Neil.

Exactly, all the adverts I sent them are for higher mileage and older cars selling for 6.5K and upwards.

Neil.

Ok, went to have a look at a few cars today. A couple of 98 Specs in Stone, been offered 3K for mine with it being picked up from where it's located and px for this possibly :p

A few bits need sorting, the front bumper needs a respray and the plastic grill between the headlights needs a spray due to fading and a large scratch.

The seats would be swapped out asap :p I'd put my black ones in and a few other interior bits and pieces.

No rust from what I could see, didn't seem to roll as much as mine in the corners and maybe a bit firmer on the buttocks but nothing to bother about.

The engine felt very tight and pulled hard, no tappety idle like mine.
It's a 99 reg with 72K on the clock. Clutch was stiff and may need changing in the near future.

Possibly only two or three in England in this colour, a few more in Ireland/Northern Ireland, so even more exclusive than the Red :)

Will have a look at some more next weekend down in Devon, a couple of White ones. No rush, especially with the insurance company dragging their heels a bit.

Neil.

Was surprised at the lack of fading, normally yellow ones are horrific for fading.
It's not a perfect car by any means, needs a little TLC to bring it up to mint standards but nothing major.

Neil.

I thought it was awesome, the looks you get from people is great :p
Plus everything moves out of the way when you come flying up behind them :)

I think you will regret replacing your minter with a shabby one in the long run :(
Wouldn't say it was shabby, just needs a little TLC to bring it up to standard.

Going down to Devon next weekend to have a look at a couple of White ones.

I know but your last one was showroom fresh :(
Bodywork wise this one is better, no dents and very little fading. It's just the interior lets this one down a bit, but I can swap bits over between mine and this one if needed.

Mechanically wise, the engine in this feels stronger and the gearbox nice and tight. The clutch is stiffer on this, but should last a while longer.
