I am doing this essay, and am trying to research company accounts for Barclays Plc, HBOS Plc and RBS Plc and am trying to find summaries for the last five years, but not having much luck.

I used ATHENS to access FAME, but the data on there just does not seem to match up to the company accounts - for example according to FAME data, last year the operating income for HBOS was -18,422 million (yes, minus figures)

Anyone know of other useful places to obtain account reports?

Any help will be great (you will get a virtual pat on the back from me, and a warm fuzzy feeling inside for helping a stressed out student) :)

Or you can buy one share and as a share holder ask for a full set of audited accounts.

For a PLC are they not typically available for free.

Go to the companies websites and start looking around, especially for information for investors.

I don't think UK companies are required by law to report their accounts. Why don't you look for the annual reports for each company? Should be on the corporate section of their websites.
