Before you say anything, I know this is in the wrong section but I've tried, and I can't seem to get a quick enough response in the Monitors section and I need this to work to continue with work that is required by tomorrow!

Okay. Here's the story.

I disconnected my DVI cable which connects to my computer whilst the computer was on but the screen was off. Went to plug it back in literally 5 minutes later and apparantly, no signal detected? So I restart my computer to see if that makes a difference. All looks well, motherboard logo appears, then the Windows loading logo appears, its looking better, but as soon as Windows loads the screen goes black, and the blue light starts flickering just before it says no input detected.

Any help would be appreciated as I'm really clueless what to do!

Thanks,
Dharok.

try the button on the monitor that changes it from analogue to digital signal :) looks like a return button off a keyboard normally

Thanks for that, however, I've tried fiddling with the buttons in the monitor and still no change :( Just "No input signal", with the backlight on for 3-4 seconds, and then the screen just goes black with the blue LED flashing :(

Booted into VGA mode right now. All is well and am posting off the computer with the issue. What do I go about doing now? Just restart and see if that makes a difference?

Right currently I'm running on something like 4 bit color, and 800*600 resolution. I now go to try and change the resolution settings as normal and it claims that my drivers were written for a previous version of windows (?) So right now I'm downloading the latest 180.48 drivers and will install these.

Am I doing the correct thing? Logic tells me I am however you guys know better!

Okay I boot into windows normally and this is what I am faced with now! Bear in mind this is also after installing a fresh set of drivers.

What grief from removing 1 cable!!

EDIT: I now go into services.msc and try to start up the Nvidia drivers, it then comes up with a windows dialog box which claims that "The display drivers were started and then stopped" :S! Madness.

Thanks for all the help people. Problem is now sorted! All it took was uninstalling drivers, reboot, install new drivers, reboot and then done! Must have corrupted my drivers somehow!

And Mr. Le Petit Lapin, was just about to try that until I realised
